Sustainability

Luxury in harmony with nature

At Royal Paradise Beach Resort & Spa, sustainability is not an afterthought — it’s a founding principle. From the earliest stages of design to our daily operations, every decision has been made with deep respect for the natural environment of Thassos.

When the resort was built, not a single olive tree was lost. Instead, 80 mature olive trees were carefully transplanted, and today they continue to flourish across the grounds. The architectural design was developed to blend seamlessly into the landscape, using natural materials and soft earth tones that reflect the colors of the island.

We proudly operate with a low energy footprint, relying entirely on heat pump systems rather than fossil fuels. Water-saving systems, LED lighting, and smart room controls help us reduce consumption without compromising comfort. All green waste — even tree trimmings — is composted into natural fertilizer, and recycling has been in place since our very first day of operation.

Our philosophy extends beyond infrastructure. We partner with local farmers and producers to source olive oil, honey, seafood, and wine from Thassos and the surrounding region, supporting the local economy and offering our guests an authentic, sustainable taste of the island.

Sustainability, to us, means preserving the paradise we’ve inherited — so that it may be enjoyed, responsibly and beautifully, for generations to come.
